Chuẩn bị một nồi nước sôi vừa phải và cho trứng cút vào luộc, thêm 1 muỗng cà phê muối, luộc 8 phút cho trứng cút chín. Sau đó, vớt trứng ra ngâm vào tô nước đá cho trứng nguội để dễ tách vỏ.
Xốt tương ớt: trộn đều hỗn hợp gồm đường, ớt bột, tương ớt và cả xốt nêm thịt gà Knorr.
Chế biến: cho hỗn hợp xốt tương ớt vừa chuẩn bị vào chảo nóng, nấu sôi. Sau đó, thêm trứng cút đã bóc vỏ vào chảo, đảo đều cho trứng cút thấm gia vị. Nấu với lửa lớn trong 5 phút cho nước gia vị thấm vào bên trong trứng, cuối cùng cho thêm hành ngò đã cắt nhỏ, đảo đều rồi tắt bếp. Dọn ra dĩa và thưởng thức thôi.
